Posted December 8, 2014

BUG-ToyDriveGifts-BLOG-HeaderWant to make a difference in a child’s life this holiday season? Join the BugMaster family and many other locals in donating to WKRG’s The Great Toy Drive. Participating takes just a little effort, but it will go a long way in giving a child in need a very merry Christmas. Here are some ideas to help you out on this volunteering venture:

Toy Ideas for Girls:
– Dolls
– Stuffed Animals
– Dress-Up Costumes
– Art Supplies
– Jewelry Making Kits

Toy Ideas for Boys:
– Action Figures
– Legos
– Toy Cars
– Sports Equipment (basketballs, footballs, baseballs & baseball glove, etc.)
– Nerf Dart Blasters

Gender Neutral Toy Ideas:
– Board Games
– Outdoor Toys (jump ropes, hula hoops, sidewalk chalk, etc.)
– Bikes/Tricycles
– Arts + Crafts Items (paints, markers, crayons, coloring books, etc.)

If you have children of your own, ask them for ideas! This can become a family activity and will put everyone into the Christmas spirit.

Drop off new, unwrapped toys at BugMasterWKRG, or any of the other drop-off locations (see the list of drop-off locations here). The last day to drop off donations is on Tuesday, December 16th.

The toys that are collected are distributed through the Salvation Army and Toys For Tots to individual families as well as many other charitable organizations throughout the Gulf Coast. For more information, call BugMaster at 251.666.4402 or email toys@wkrg.com.
